The Game Time (LA) Rockies defeated the West Texas Outlaws in the longest game of the 2008 World Series, 14 innings. The Rockies were lead by their 1st baseman Justin Juneau who went 4 for 6 with 2 RBI's. They were also given a great performance by pitcher Jimmy Heard, who went 7 innings allowing only 2 hits and 1 run. West Texas' Ken Wright helped keep the Outlaws alive, getting 3 hits on 5 at bats. Also, Outlaw pitcher Cole Akins threw in 10 strike outs and only gave up 2 earned. But it wasn't enough to hold the Rockies who put together a 6 run top of the 14th inning that West Texas could not come back from. Final score 12-6.
Game Time will play again this Saturday against a team to be determined.
The Outlaws are done for this years NBC World series.
