Tonight's feature game paired the Santa Barbra Foresters against Kansas' own Team Elite Kings. The Foresters, last year's NBC champions, were able to overtake the Kings with a final score of 3-2. The Kings came out strong in the first inning with a run by Bryce Miller. Late in the bottom of the fourth, Santa Barbra retaliated with two runs by Ryan Goetz and James Meador to take the lead. In the top of the sixth, Kings' Sean Loggins was able to tie the game up after Nate Wilder's single. Santa Barbra's James Wharton took over the lead with a homerun down the third base line in the bottom of the seventh for the win. After securing the go ahead run the Foresters put in their closer at the top of the eighth and rolled on to win the game.
This was the first win of the tournament for the defending champions. They will take on Anchorage Glacier Piolts on Saturday.
