Today’s third game featured the Clarinda (IA) A’s defeating the Colorado Springs Doubledays by a final score of 9-6. Clarinda’s Mick Gaston hit a towering solo shot to left field as A’s hitters had their way with Colorado Spring’s pitching. Greg Volz and Brandon Beall each had a three hit day in the losing effort for Colorado Springs. Clarinda’s bullpen held on to the lead and Dannie Strable was brought in with the bases loaded to seal the deal.
