Taking the lead in the first inning the Southern California Bombers never relented and went on to win the game 6-0 over the Game Time (LA) Rockies. The sixth inning fueled the Bombers for another scoring run - they picked up two runs after first baseman Frank Corpus tripled down the left field line and drove in a run Corpus later scored after tagging up on a flyout in the same inning. The Bombers defense was outstanding, only allowing four hits and giving up no runs in what was the first shutout of the 75th NBC World Series. The Bombers will be playing on Friday and the Rockies will be playing tomorrow morning at 10:30 AM.
