The Chickasha A’s beat the Colorado Sox 3-1 in the closing game of day one at the NBC World Series. A’s pitcher Reece Dodd was on his way to a no-hitter until the Sox hit twice in the seventh inning. The first inning gave the A’s their first lead of the game, they also picked up solo runs in the fourth and the sixth innings. Attempting to salvage the game, the A’s made pitching changes late in the game but allowed the Sox to tie the game with one run coming in the eighth and two more in the ninth. The game went into extra innings with the Sox getting the winning run in the twelfth inning.
