In the 1:00 PM game played today at the NBC World Series it was the Colorado Springs Doubledays who prevailed over the San Antonio Titans 9-3. The game got off to a fast pace with both teams scoring two runs in the first three innings. The Doubledays sprang ahead of the Titans with a thunderous fifth inning where they scored seven runs. The Titans could only answer back with a solo run in the seventh and fell well short of a comeback. Doubledays center fielder Chris Dixon stood out with solid numbers - four hits, two runs scored and two RBI in five at bats.
