Winning by a large margin, the El Dorado Broncos took home the NBC Midwest Regional championship with blowout win over the Team Elite Kings, 15-4. The game featured several players awarded spots on the Midwest Regional's all tournament team including tournament MVP Eliot Frey, center fielder for the Broncos. Frey had two RBI and scored three runs off four hits in six at bats. Also assisting the Broncos, was right fielder Wes Cunningham who had almost identifical numbers as Frey but drove in two more runs. Both teams used a slew of pitchers in the closing game of the tournament, the Broncos utilized five pitchers and the Kings used seven in the game. The game took early form with both teams scoring a string of runs, particularly the Broncos, who had scored nine runs by the end of the third inning. The Kings tried to surge back and contend but managed only to score in the first half of the game and never made a comeback. After the game was over both teams were awarded $2,600 for coming in first and second place.
