In a battle to move on to the NBC Midwest Regional championship game it was the Team Elite Kings taking the win over the Newton Rebels 3-2. The biggest highlight of the game was the two run bomb hit by Rebels right fielder Andrew Revall in the ninth inning. It was a powerful hit which sent the ball hurling towards to left center field and cleared the park that gave the Rebels some much needed hope as they tried to erase the 3-0 hole they were in. The Kings had built their lead with one run in the first and second innings and picking up their third run in the eigth. The home run did not lead up to a comeback but instead left the team with the bitter loss of defeat after their next batter struck out. The loss makes the Rebels the third place team in the NBC Midwest Regional. The Team Elite Kings will move on to face the El Dorado Broncos to be the NBC Midwest Regional champions and gives them a chance to avenge an earlier loss in the tournament.
