The Park City Rangers took the lead early and held on to it, defeating the Hutchinson Monarchs 4-1. The Rangers scored one run in the fourth and added three more in the fifth inning. The Monarchs struggled with their at bats, only answering with a single run that came in the seventh inning. Wade Morrison, pitcher for the Rangers threw six innings and gave up no runs. Rangers second baseman Tanner Stevenson drove in two runs on two hits with three at bats. The Rangers now face the Newton Rebels in the losers bracket after both teams suffered defeat at the hands of the El Dorado Broncos.
