In a closely watched matchup between the Newton Rebels and the Wichita Sluggers the Rebels won 3-1. Rebels pitcher Alex Laabs threw a complete nine inning game and allowed only one unearned run, he walked two batters and struck out three. While the Rebels pitcher was dominating the offense scored three runs, two in the third inning and one in the eigth. The loss eliminates the Sluggers from the tournament while the Rebels will move on to play the Park City Rangers Wednesday at five PM.
