The Newton Rebels vanquished the Wichita Rock Hounds in a game that was cut short due to the run-rule, 12-2. This marks the end of the Rock Hounds participation in the NBC Midwest Regional. The Rebels move on to the next round in the losers bracket where they will play the Wichita Titans, who eliminated the Air Capital Astros 12-2 in similar style as the Rebels. Helping the Rebels end the game early was designated hitter Taylor Stuart, who had 3 runs driven in.
