In a fairly even game throughout the Wichita Sluggers defeated the Valley Center Diamond Dawgs 9-4 in the 11th inning. Both teams scored one run a piece in the first inning but the game encountered a scoring standstill and remained tied 1-1 until the eighth inning, when the Dawgs scored two runs to take the lead. The ninth inning returned to game to a tie when the Sluggers smashed three runs and the Dawgs got one to take the game into extra innings. The Sluggers sealed up the game in the eleventh with five runs and move on to play the Team Elite Kings Monday at 7 PM. After losing, the Dawgs will square off against the Hutchinson Monarchs at 7 PM on Sunday.
