The 2008 NBC World Series has concluded with the Santa Barbara (CA) Foresters winning their second championship in the past three years. The Foresters placed several players on the 2008 All American Team and on the 2008 Team & Individual Awards. You will notice that some teams finished higher than other teams with the same record. The reason for this is the we follow NCAA guidelines for team finishes in the World Series. Although, we are not a member of the NCAA, we do follow their guidelines because of the large number of NCAA players that participate in the National Baseball Congress World Series. We have to reward teams for each round that they advance in the tournament. Therefore, a team may have the same winning percentage, but they advanced one more round in the tournament before their second loss.
