The Dodge City A's make the most of 7 hits in 5-2 victory over the Liberal Bee Jays

The Dodge City A's (3-1) and the Liberal Bee Jays (3-2) each put runners in scoring position on Monday, but the Dodge City A's capitalized on more RBI opportunities, pulling out a 5-2 win at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium in an elimination game at the National Baseball Congress World Series.

Ivan Sigala led the Dodge City A's' offensive threat, as he got on base two times in the game. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He doubled in the fifth inning.

It was a good day at the plate for the Liberal Bee Jays' Johnathan Sigado. Sigado went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the third inning and singled in the ninth inning.

Derek Justice improved to 1-0 on the NBCWS by picking up the win for the Dodge City A's. He allowed two runs over six innings. Justice struck out four, walked three and gave up six hits.

Dalton Bernardi ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the tournament. He lasted just seven innings, walked two, struck out seven, and allowed five runs.

With the win Dodge City advances in the loser's bracket while the Liberal BeeJays are elimianted.
