Faught Walk-Off Single Gives Newton 7-6 Win in 11

Storm Marlar held the Impact Sports (0-1) scoreless for six innings to boost the Newton Rebels (1-0) to a 7-6 victory.

Marlar struck out six and allowed two walks and three hits.

A walk-off single by Tyler Faught gave the Newton Rebels the win.

Faught reached base two times in the game for the Newton Rebels. He also drove in one runner. He singled in the eleventh inning.

Romus Cezar had a hot bat for the Newton Rebels. Cezar went 3-6 and scored two runs. He singled in the first, second, and fourth innings.

Josh Markel got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He struck out none, walked none and surrendered no hits.

Cody Lahman couldn't get it done on the hill for the Impact Sports, taking a loss. He lasted just zero innings, walked none, struck out none, and allowed no runs.
